Will e’dyn celebrate again in Venice this year?

The same magical venue in the Arsenale with an ever-increasing number of exhibitors. The 2022 edition of the Venice Boat Show, which will be running from May 28 to June 5, will host a series of initiatives and innovations that will make it even more central to the pleasure boating market.

The Arsenale will be opening its doors to pleasure boating for the third edition of the Venice Boat Show to confirm its position as the most natural reference point for the Eastern Mediterranean market.

Thanks to the collaboration with the Italian Navy in Venice, the 2022 edition will start on the May 28 and run up to June 5, offering visitors an extended period that includes two weekends, in addition to the bank holiday of June 2, and which last year allowed over 30 thousand visitors, who enlivened the historic docks, to physically attend the show in the safest of conditions.

The Arsenale is a unique environment.  It is the seafaring heart of the Venetian Republic, or the Serenissima, as it is also referred to. It offers a 50,000 square metre water pool, over 1,000 linear metres of landing stages, approximately 30,000 square metres of outdoor exhibition spaces, and 5,000 metres of covered pavilions.  All the outstanding businesses in our boating sector will be present and to meet the needs of the growing number of exhibitors, to accommodate their boats, we have arranged new jetties so that the overall distance of the display area will exceed two and a half kilometres. Not only, we are planning to redistribute the stands and activities within the Tese area so that it is even easier for visitors to move around and see as much as possible.

As with the second edition of the Venice Boat Show, eco-sustainability and low-impact technologies will be the guiding thread of all the thematic areas where the best of Italian and international production will be presented in conjunction with their green evolution. This approach follows the trend towards the use of electric power, which is affecting all segments of the nautical industry and its spin-offs: hulls, propulsions, remotorizations, batteries, charging systems, foil technologies, furnishings, photovoltaics, vehicle units and sport.

They have also prepared a number of conferences and presentations focused on sustainability and the environment, which will take place during these nine days of the fair, with the participation of experts from around the world.

Also, e’dyn team is looking forward to this year’s e-regatta, which was celebrated as the absolute winners last year. The e-regatta will take place from 1 to 3 June and includes a competition in maneuvering “slalom” and “e-ballerina” with musical accompaniment at the request of the competitor. This year’s novelty is a speed race with single-layer and single-engine boats with one pilot.

“The Boat Show is once again confirmed in this third edition as a place of experimentation and innovation. The now-consolidated experience of the E-Regatta shows how Venice is really, to all intents and purposes, the oldest city of the future. We are back to give prestige to our excellences, here, in the beautiful setting of the Arsenal, the heart of the Serenissima Venice, that has been the undisputed queen of the seas for a thousand years. Not only a tribute to our tradition but also a statement of our wish to continue to be a place where we can look to the future of the nautical industry through the continuous pursuit of its “green” conversion. Venice confirms to this extent its commitment to becoming the World Capital of Sustainability. Not a simple slogan, then, but an actual recognition for the work that has been accomplished so far and for the strategic outlook towards a future that Venice wants to carry forward with the E- Regatta team. Congratulations once again and happy E-Regatta to all.”

Luigi Brugnaro, the Mayor of Venice

The exclusive format designed for electric mobility is returning with new types of events, so that the performance of designed propulsion systems is completely improved.

The event begins with a parade of electric boats through the historic city of Venice, along the beautiful Grand Canal.

The three-day events will conclude with a conference on ecological transition with a political discussion and a technical session where participating companies will have the opportunity to present their innovations. And finally, the awards ceremony.
